🌦️ Weather in Iceland - Late May (May 21–May 26)
• 45–55°F cool daytime weather – fresh, crisp, and comfortable for sightseeing. I went to Iceland around the same weather 😊
• Chilly evenings (35–45°F)– bring a warm jacket for nighttime walks
• Windy + changing conditions –In Iceland sunshine, clouds, and quick showers can happen in the same day. It is very common in Iceland throughout the year. But we will be prepared for everything in the magic land.

Day 2 Friday : 🌸 Arrival Day – Welcome to Iceland: Reykjanes Peninsula + Blue Lagoon
After our overnight international flight, we’ll arrive in the majestic Reykjanes Peninsula and Blue Lagoon
Reykjanes Lighthouse : A scenic coastal lighthouse surrounded by dramatic cliffs and crashing Atlantic waves. Perfect for stunning ocean views and a peaceful photo stop on the Reykjanes Peninsula
Gunnuhver Hot Springs: A powerful geothermal area with steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and swirling hot springs. Walk the safe boardwalk paths and feel Iceland’s raw volcanic energy up close.
Blue Lagoon: $125, Entrance fees included in the package: Iceland’s world-famous geothermal spa with milky-blue waters rich in minerals like silica. Relax, soak, and recharge in warm steaming pools surrounded by lava rock landscapes.

🌆 DAY 3 Saturday 🌸 Golden Circle Thingvellir, Strokkur Geysir, Gullfoss, Kerid Crater
Thingvellir (Þingvellir National Park): A breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between two tectonic plates and explore Iceland’s most historic and scenic landscapes.
· Haukadalur Strokkur Geysir - Home To The Original Geysir: Next, we head to the Haukadalur Geothermal Area, home to Geysir, the original geyser that gave its name to all the others around the world
· Gullfoss - The Majestic Golden Waterfall: The Golden Waterfall,” it’s a powerful double-drop cascade where millions of gallons of glacial meltwater plunge into a deep ravine.
Kerid Crater - Colorful Volcanic Landscape: As a special addition to the standard Golden Circle tour, we’ll visit the vibrant Kerid Crater. This unique volcanic crater stands out with its striking red earth and lush green mosses, framed by a stunning blue-water lake in the caldera.

🌊 DAY 4 Sunday – South Coast (Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Solheimajokull Glacier, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach)
· Captivating Beauty of Seljalandsfoss - Our journey begins at Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, plunging 60 meters into a deep pool. Featured in films and music videos, including one by Justin Bieber, this waterfall is famous for its unique location. The real magic happens when you walk behind the falls.
· Gljufrabui - Iceland's Hidden Waterfall: Tucked away in a narrow canyon and often missed by other visitors. Stepping into the secluded cave where the waterfall cascades down is a truly unique experience. The sound of the water echoing off the walls creates a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere.
· Skogafoss - Iceland´s Wonder: This iconic waterfall has appeared in movies like “Game of Thrones” and “Thor,” and now it’s your turn to capture its beauty.
Solheimajokull Glacier - Sólheimajökull Glacier is a breathtaking outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull, where icy blue ridges and deep crevasses create a dramatic, ever-changing landscape. Walk up close to the glacier tongue and feel the raw power of Iceland’s frozen wilderness — a true bucket-list stop on the South Coast.
Reynisfjara - National Geographic's Top Beach (Black Sand Beach): The final destination for the day is the stunning black sand beach at Reynisfjara. Recognized by National Geographic as one of the world’s top beaches, this place is a true natural wonder. You’ll be surrounded by towering stone sea stacks, dramatic rock arches, and the striking hexagonal basalt columns that line the cliffs—tempting you to climb and explore!
🌿 DAY 5: Monday - South-East Expedition: Jokulsarlon, Glacier Lagoon, Glacier Boat ride, Diamond Beach, Fjadrargljufur Canyon hike
· Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon- Iceland’s Stunning Glacier Lagoon: massive blue and white icebergs break away from the retreating Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier and float serenely in the lagoon, slowly making their way toward the Atlantic Ocean.
· Stroll On the Diamond Beach - These ice chunks, in all shapes and sizes, come from the nearby Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and are sculpted by the wind and waves into stunning, sparkling formations. The sight of these sparkling ice diamonds against the dark sand is truly magical, offering incredible photo opportunities.
Explore The Deep Gorge of Fjadrargljufur : The Fjadrargljufur Canyon short hike and an incredible sight, famous from its appearance in a Justin Bieber music video, this stunning spot has since become a popular destination for travelers worldwide.
VIK: The charming village of Vík is the southernmost point in Iceland and has a bit of a fairytale vibe. Perched above the village, the beautiful church offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area

🌿 DAY 6: Tuesday – Reykjavik Downtown, Departure Day
· Hallgrímskirkja church : Reykjavik’s most iconic landmark, famous for its striking architecture
· Reykjavik Downtown , Shopping - Explore Reykjavik’s lively downtown filled with charming boutiques, local souvenir shops, cozy cafés, and colorful streets to wander and shop.
· Rainbow Street Photo ops - Stroll down Reykjavik’s iconic rainbow-painted street, perfect for vibrant Instagram-worthy photos.
· Start to KEF airport after lunch around 1 pm GMT
· Return to EWR : 7:15 pm EST
